3.13 million Silver Eagles minted in March
That's the most ever minted in a single month by a long margin.
7.2 milllion minted thus far this year, on pace to triple the '07's and 50% higher than last year. That's crankin' and it's no wonder they can't mint any other silver products. |

I Ran into my locale shop just yesterday, asked him how many mercs I can get for 20 dollars.
He gave me 17 and made mention that he hadnt seen me in a while so he thought I had 'lost the faith" No Sir.......not me by a long shot......... But I did find a "New Religion" in the last several Months. There seems to be a "Revival" sweeping the nation right now and I happen to be a part of it.:biggrin: |

I have only been purchasing PM's for 1 year, so I don't have much to add here except that, compared to last year, SAE's are much easier to get. APMEX and Tulving have a never ending supply it seems. I like the new APMEX price points for SAE's. You have to buy over 1,000 to get the cheapest price! I have purchased a few monster boxes, but getting 2 boxes at once is unchartered territory for me, as well as most people I suspect.
I suppose the "old rich guy" set is taking advantage of the 1,000 coin break point and buying for their IRA's. When 1 million or so "old rich guys" start buying PM's instead of money market and mutual funds, then maybee this huge supply will be taken down to zero. |
